Help Us Replace a Failing Church Roof in Moreau, Haiti

In the small community of Moreau, Haiti, a faithful congregation gathers week after week — not in spite of hardship, but because of hope. Their church is more than four walls. It is a refuge during storms and the heartbeat of a community that refuses to give up.

But the roof that shelters them is failing. Rusted, cracked, and vulnerable to Haiti’s fierce rainy seasons, it puts the entire building — and everyone inside — at risk.

Your gift today is more than a construction project. It is a declaration that this community matters, that their faith is worth protecting, and that they are not forgotten. Every dollar raised goes directly toward new roofing materials and the local workers who will install them — keeping the investment in the hands of the community itself.

What’s more, this is not a project starting from scratch. Emmanuel International Missions has already invested over $27,000 in the base work for the roof and other construction materials. We are not asking you to take a leap of faith into the unknown; we are asking you to help us cross the finish line.

A sturdy roof over their heads means families can worship without watching the sky. It means one less obstacle standing between a vulnerable community and the flourishing life they deserve.

Join us in covering Moreau.

Beneficiary Communities

The congregation of the Église Baptiste Évangélique de Moreau stands as the direct beneficiary of this construction project. For years, this community has faithfully gathered for worship in temporary and inadequate conditions — a testament to their perseverance and devotion. The completion of this building will finally give them a safe, permanent, and dignified home for their spiritual life together.

01
The Congregation These are people who have shown up — rain or shine, in hard times and good — without ever having a real place to call home. When this building is finished, they won't have to borrow space or hope the weather holds. They'll have their church. That matters more than words can say.
02
Families in Grief & in Joy When someone dies in Moreau, the family shouldn't have to worry about where to hold the service or whether they can afford it. When a couple wants to get married in their faith, they deserve a real place to stand. This church will be that place — free of charge, open to anyone who needs it, at the moments that matter most.
03
Children & Youth The kids in this community have been showing up to Sunday school and youth programs in conditions that most people wouldn't accept. They keep coming anyway. This building gives them a stable place to grow in their faith — week after week, year after year — without interruption.
04
The Wider Community Moreau doesn't have many places where people can gather. No fancy community centers, no public halls. This church fills that gap — not just for the members, but for the whole neighborhood. It becomes the place where people come together when life calls for it.
05
The SMBEH Network A finished church in Moreau is a sign that the work is real and continuing. It tells the region — and anyone paying attention — that this network isn't going anywhere, and that the gospel is still moving in places that the world often overlooks.
