Connecting churches. Strengthening leaders. Transforming Haiti — one community at a time.
"To connect, equip, and multiply Baptist congregations across Haiti, so that functional and transformative churches rise up in every community — for the glory of God."
In Haiti, Emmanuel International Missions operates through its national body, the Société Missionnaire Baptiste Emmanuel d'Haïti (SMBEH). Every local church under this network carries the name "Emmanuel" — a visible mark of shared identity and mission across the country.
The SMBEH Network is a fellowship of Baptist churches united under a shared commitment to the gospel, to one another, and to the communities they serve. Grounded in local leadership and driven by their Christian faith, these churches are not outposts of a foreign mission — they are the mission. Through the SMBEH, member ministries are connected and equipped in their shared mandate to fulfill the Great Commission.
SMBEH is committed to:
Glorify God by contributing to the expansion of the Kingdom through the planting of functional churches and the transformation of their members into mature and devoted disciples of Christ.
Work toward the spiritual, social, economic, and cultural development of the member churches in particular and of the Haitian Nation in general.
Strengthen, within the churches of the S.M.B.E.H., the values and rights that form the foundation of their existence and that guarantee their full independence.
Ensure that the member churches of the S.M.B.E.H. are equipped with biblical tools, practical, material, and financial means, and the human resources commensurate with the missions entrusted to them.
Our Churches Across Haiti
The SMBEH is led by a council of pastors elected from among the member churches. Day-to-day coordination is supported by Emmanuel International Missions, which provides administrative assistance, training, and resource connections.
